This flat-pole version of our Alnico 2 Pro Staggered forStrat delivers a sweet, smooth tone for flatter fingerboards and lighter stringgauges.
The Alnico 2 Pro Flat delivers all the sweet bell tone ofour staggered pole model, but has flat alnico 2 rod magnets that provide a moreeven string balance for modern guitars with a larger neck radius, and playersusing lighter gauge strings. The flat poles also give this pickup a little lessedge for an even smoother overall tone. Pair with our Alnico II Pro Flat Strat– middle rwrp Aside from the flat pole pieces, we use all of the same materialsto build these as we do our vintage Fender style single coil pickups. We startby assembling the bobbins with the proper color and thickness of Forbonflatwork, and we hand file the flatwork, assemble, and lacquer our bobbins justas it was done during Fenders Golden Age. This pickup comes complete with waxedand tinned cloth pushback hook-up wires and traditional keyed bottom plate.Like all of our pickups, it’s then potted in our wax formulation for squealfree performance.
