Fender Dave Murray Custom

“Dave’s Guitar Rescue Custom”-Dave Murray Prototype Stratocaster.

Dave has a handful of prototypes that Ive seen from Iron Maiden’s Pinterest photos and this was inspired by those awesome axes.

***A unique custom feature on this guitar is the vintage 1980s Dimarzios, so no re-issues here, period correct to Dave’s Original***

*Genuine Fender Guitar*

Now the work done on this.

* Fret Levelled Crowned and polished frets with a Fallaway from the 13th fret up.
* Humbucker opening cut out from the 3 ply guard to allow HSH configuration.
* Factory Matched Dimarzio Super Distortion (13.79K) and PAF Pro (7.84K) Humbuckers from the early 1980s pulled from a Vintage El Degas Les Paul copy from Japan. These are the real vintage ones not re issues so they have the natural aged look because THEY ARE aged!
* A Dimarzio DP174 “Red Velvet” in the middle position, reverse wired for proper phase, an aged cover to match the Humbuckers. The added power enables a good balance for positions 2&4.
* Bournes Low Friction 500K Audio Taper Pot for the Master Volume for smooth roll off. 2) CTS 500k pots for the Tones. These have Cream Fender Knobs.
* New Fender 5 way switch with black knob and a Bridge Tone Mod, that allows you to use the rear Tone for your bridge. This will also give you very glassy Stratty tones in the 2 and 4 positions!!!
* New Orange Drop Capicitor for tone.
* Pickguard shielding.
* Switchcraft Input jack
* Floating Floyd Rose setup with the neck slightly tilted, you can also have it flush mounted with the neck completely seated in the pocket.
* Rosewood fret board, no longer offered from Fender.
* Compound radius frets 9.5” to 12” with a slight flattening to radius on the last middle section of the 15th to 21st frets, they have been crowned and meticulously polished to a high lustre.
* Chrome finish Humbucker pickup covers with a cutout for the Master Volume just like Daves original!!
* Maple neck with fully functional truss rod and the frets are 90%
* Body is in very good condition for its age and the frets have plenty of life as shown in the pictures.
* No neck pocket cracks
* Rear Cover was removed for the photos, but included.
* Floyd Rose has been polished and fully cleaned inspected and intonated, and is free from defects just look at that shine!!! The arm is tight with absolutely no wobble and flutters like a floating should. Dive bombs will not throw out tuning once the strings have been properly stretched out.
* Comes with hardshell case.
Now lets say you bought a factory MIM DM Stratocaster and wanted these features well just tack on an additional 500$ in parts and labour to the price, plus tax, on a new one.
