An early 19070's Twin Pickup Telecaster Bass produced in Japan and Badged Angelica Deluxe for import and retail in the UK by Boosey and Hawkes.

In pretty exceptional condition, this instrument has clearly not seen an awful lot of use. The body is solid timber and the neck is multi laminated Maple. The fngerboard is unfinished , there is no evidence of it ever having had a finish on it, (and there certainly would be had it ever been present).

Electrics consist of a pair of single coil pickups under chrome covers with a substantial selector switch mounted adjacent the rosewood finger rest.

Cosmetically there is little to report, a few insignificant shallow knocks and scuffs to the finish, the most obvious being adjacent to the brodge cover, which has been filled in with cream cellulose. The Bridge cover itself has obviously seen some sort of trauma over time as its a little buckled and dinted.

Everything functions as it should, although the tone control is pretty 'all or nothing' as they so often were. The bass is fitted with flatwound strings which doubtless contribute to a warm and mellow tone, but with good distintion between the two pckups.

Complete with period, and given its shaping, probably original plush lined hard case, which is in good clean used condition.

UK mainland, next day tracked, signed for and insured shipping will be £14.95. For overseas shipping costs (E.U. only) please enquire.
