Fender Stratocaster Partscaster Ash Body, MIJ Japan neck, Brandonwound Pickups

Up for sale, a Fender Stratocaster partscaster in excellent condition and in good working order. Assembled with premium parts and a custom color finish, this guitar features a 1980's Fender "Made in Japan" maple neck with a slab rosewood fretboard, paired with an ash Fender Deluxe body from the Ensenada, Mexico factory. With a trio of black bobbin Brandonwound single coil pickups, this guitar has plenty of sparkle and snap, with the quintessential Strat "quack" in the 2 and 4 positions on the five-way pickup selector switch. Acoustically, the guitar has a nice healthy cut and the guitar weighs in at 8lbs 3oz with a professional setup from our techs here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar.

The maple neck has a medium C shaped profile bordering on the slender side of things, with good shoulder and consistent depth as you travel up the fretboard. The neck has been refinished with a semi-gloss nitro, highlighting a light speckling of birdseye figuring in the maple. The slab rosewood fretboard has tight grain and a dark tint with original slender frets that show no wear. The fretboard radius is 7 1/4", with a traditional 25 1/2" scale and hand-carved 1 5/8" wide nut. The headstock features a new Pre-CBS-style headstock logo along with a set of Kluson-style Gotoh tuning machines.

All of the electronics are top notch, with the Brandonwound pickups wired to full-size CTS pots and a Switchcraft five-way selector. The vintage-style Gotoh vibrato actuates smoothly with a full size trem block and five springs. The ash body has a transparent "Crimson Red" gloss poly finish exhibiting only some light scuffing and finish scratches in the clear coat.
