When you pick up a vintage Ovation guitar built back in the '60s or '70s, the first thing you notice is its lightweight back and comfortably slim neck carve. That's exactly what Ovation set out to re-create with their Vintage Lyrachord series. That's why the 1771VL -1 features a body made from the same interwoven glass and hybrid resin as those original Ovation models. Not only is the 1771VL -1 even lighter than Ovation's standard models, it also sports a thinner and faster neck carve that's incredibly fun to play.

In fact, these are an upgraded version of the same electronics that launched the acclaimed Adamas acoustic-electric line back in 1979, making the 1771VL -1 a true Ovation modern classic.

They may have a small finish blemish, but usually we cannot find one anywhere. If we can, we will tell you about it. In some cases we may purchase a guitar that was repaired, but we will inform you of what was repaired in the listing. These instruments have been checked over by certified technicians more thoroughly than the original manufacturer did and have to pass many inspection tests by our wholesaler before they are sold to dealers like us. Then we give them another complete inspection before we offer them to you. We give them a last adjustment if needed, condition the fret board, and give them a complete professional setup, and a final polish before shipping them. All our guitars are shipped insured to protect you and us. Most of our guitars have a "used" stamp on the back of the headstock and have been given a new serial number. Although most of our guitars have not been previously owned, we are required by the original manufacturers to sell them as "used" so there is no confusion in regards to warranties.
