About This Listing

The Saturnworks tap tempo with reversible polarity pedal allows you to set the delay rate for a variety of effects pedals including the Boss DD-5, DD-7, DD-20, RC-2, and RC-3, or any pedal that requires a standard normally closed (NC) OR normally open (NO) tap tempo, such as devices from MXR, Dunlop, Electro-Harmonix, and many other brands. It can replace the Boss FS-5U for momentary switching applications.

The pedal's toggle switches the polarity between normally open and normally closed. Boss uses normally closed switches for tap or momentary switching applications, while most other brands including MXR, Dunlop, Electro-Harmonix, Line 6, JHS, as well as most boutique brands, use normally open switches.

The Saturnworks polarity tap switch is built to last with high quality components and features including:

  • A high quality footswitch.*
  • A heavy duty Neutrik 1/4“ TS jack.
  • A rugged die-cast 1.5” x 3.5” (1590A size) enclosure.
  • A passive design that does not require power to work.
  • High quality wire made in the USA.
  • Handcrafted and bench-tested in California, USA.
  • A one-year limited warranty against parts and manufacturing defects. See saturnworkspedals.com for warranty terms and conditions.

* Please note: This pedal uses a momentary switch that has a light click. It is not a soft touch momentary switch. Soft touch momentary switches are not compatible with polarity switchable tap applications.
