Up for sale is a custom Ibanez guitar made for Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins and used extensively on the Mellon Collie tour. Ibanez tried to secure a signature model guitar with Billy Corgan, but a successful model never went into production. It's a one of a kind piece, serial number LA053194 (Los Angeles). The guitar was used to play 1979 at the American Music Awards in 1996. Hot pink/blue, star inlays on the fretboard, fully autographed by Billy Corgan, originally sold at the Smashing Pumpkins' penultimate concert on 11/29/2000 for charity.
The guitar also comes with a Billy Corgan-signed letter of authenticity from the original auction.
I believe it’s a one of a kind and very special item. Billy Corgan does not sign many guitars, and this is from the Mellon Collie era, verifiable with this YouTube video.
