Rare Mogwai edition of the Electro-Harmonix Big Muff Pi. Only 100 were made in 2001 as a promotional item for the release of their Rock Action record. As far as I know, it was never officially sold and was solely given away to industry people. I won this one in a contest through Matador Records in 2001.
In terms of guts and sound, it's pretty much a regular Big Muff of its era, but to my ear it sounds like the intensity of the fuzz is higher. The exterior has the words Big Muff replaced with the Mogwai name, and the second and third knobs are labelled Rock and Action instead of Tone and Sustain.
This is a rare collector's item, hence the price tag. The pedal is fully functionnal, does not come with original box or power supply (both lost to theft in 2004).
