Travis Bean Designs, TB500 Generation 1, prototype number 00. This was the test pc for production of 10 guitars in the style of the first run Travis Bean 500. Full spec in everyway. Marc McElwee, Travis Bean's partner and the guy who designed these guitars, helped in sourcing parts (the pickguard material took months to find) and making everything correct. These are quite a strange animal in the best way. The variations of sounds you can get, are very impressive, from glass piercing highs, to a very deep low boom and then an almost acoustic guitar sound. A very versatile instrument in everyway. It does have the onboard effects loop and that is quite fun to play with. It sends the signal out via a modified stereo cable and then returns it to the controls, so you can shape the guitar signal with effects with the guitars volume and tone knobs. If you plug into the other jack, this loop is bypassed and the guitar functions as normal. The controls are as follows: master volume, stacked dual bridge and middle tone and seperate neck tone with 3 on/offs for each pickup, allowing any combination to be had. It is set up with Thomas Vinci Strings Custom C-1010LS which are .010 -.047. The case is a G&G built Custom to the original TB case specs. In all ways this is as close to the real thing as one can get. Most prototypes have a flaw or something, this one turned out perfect and is bascially brand new. International buyers are welcome.
