Slingerland 1930's Fancher Model w/ Mods. 6.5x14. Sea Green Pearl. Solid Walnut.

This is an interesting snare drum, and was in horrific shape when I found it. First off, the tone flange is gone and the drum has 45' edges. This, is a 6.5x14 player drum. Solid walnut shell w/ maple reinforcement hoops. The re-hoops had been reset and the drum overall was in very bad shape when I found her. Needed rods, so the tension rods ARE NOT original. The snare wires, cord and heads ARE NOT original. The strainer and butt work well, and the brass hoops/clips and lugs are in good shape. Modern heads seat well and it tunes up nicely. Again, the tension rods are not original. It's a great sounding player drum, and a great shelf piece that's ready to gig. Sounds killer. Sensitive, articulate and full bodied walnut solid shell snare drum. For a beautiful drum as old as this, it still holds its beauty but has had a hard life. This rescue needs a new home.
