From what I recall, The Omega Stand was created by Alex Lifeson back in the 1990s for his personal use touring with Rush and then patented and sold.
It is designed to be mounted to a hardware like a cymbal stand.
This one is used and shows cosmetic blemishes (see images for details) but functions as designed.
I just ran across this one the other day in one of my closests and have no use for it any longer. Perhaps you do?
