The "The Paul" is an electric guitar made by Gibson Guitar Corporation. The first model was manufactured from 1978 to 1982. It was targeted to customers who wanted Gibson quality and reputation at a lower price point. It included such items as the Tune-O-Matic bridge (but nickel plated rather than gold) and attained further cost savings by not including the carved top (often maple) seen on most Les Paul variants. It has a solid walnut body and neck.
We typically ship our products via UPS Ground Service. Delivery can take 1 to 7 days. Please allow our shipping department an additional 3-4 days to process, package and ship your order. UPS will NOT delivery to APO, FPO, or PO Boxes. If you need items sent to these destinations we will ship via US Postal Service. US shipping is to the lower 48 states. Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico may incur additional charges. Free Ground Shipping does not apply to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico.
Contact us for a shipping quote on international orders. Most international orders can be shipped for under $100.00.
International shipments are mailed via US Postal Service Priority International. Shipping time takes between 7-10 days for most destinations. However, it may take up to 21 days for shipments to arrive and clear customs. If you want faster shipping and more detailed tracking information we also use USPS Express International.
Island Music Company is NOT responsible for customs duties or any other additional duties, taxes or fees imposed by your country. Sorry, but we are unable to declare a lower value on customs forms. Please be advised that doing so also decreases the insurance value of the item, and therefore does not guarantee full reimbursement in the event of loss, theft or damage.
Insurance Claims Procedures
In the unfortunate event that your item arrives damaged or not at all, please contact Island Music Company as soon as possible to initiate the claims process. Please be aware that Island Music Company is not at fault for lost or damaged packages. Insurance claims are to be paid by the shipping company since the package was lost or damaged while in their care. Please save all original packaging and any postal documentation for proof until the claim has been approved.
This product can be returned within 7 days of receipt.
Items must be returned in original, as-shipped condition with all original packaging and no signs of use. Buyer assumes responsibility for all return shipping costs unless the item was not received as described.
Buyer receives a full refund in their original payment method less any shipping charges.
We will exchange a defective item for the same item within 14 days of receipt. If your purchase is incompatible with your setup, or you simply do not like your purchase, we will exchange for an alternative item or store credit, less shipping fees (including those which may have been incurred on “free shipping” items). Shipping fees include those flat rate charges to send the item as well as calculated shipping to return the item to our store.
Items that cannot be returned include: software, items with contents or packaging that is damaged/missing, and items that are considered for personal use (such as earphones, headphones, microphones, instrument mouthpieces, or other items that you wouldn't want to purchase if someone else had previously used them). Items which we do not normally stock (i.e. "Special Orders", discontinued products, close-outs, used products, etc.) are non-returnable. We strongly suggest that you check your order after receiving it to be sure that it is in proper working order.
Shipping and handling costs are non-refundable, including a reasonable shipping cost calculated into free US shipping best offer prices.
Please contact us for our Return Form and return ship instructions before returning any items. Upon receipt of the returned product a credit will be issued according to your payment method. If any product is damaged in shipping, you should address the issue promptly with the appropriate carrier. Any return sent back without contacting us and completing a return form will NOT be processed.
