If you have a 80s Japan Fender missing a proper pickup then this maybe the perfect match. They are becoming collectible so here is a chance to return to stock. This is pulled from a 1984 Japan P, has long leads, connected to original brass shielding plate and has 4 nickel adjustment screws. You can see the 2 halves had a splice together at one point in the wiring. This should be correct for most Japan P basses, besides the contemporary series. I have a 1986 E series that has this pickup as well. Great sounding pickups. The pole pieces have a slight bevel.
I wouldnt call this a hot pickup or mellow, more so just warm and middy, I dont have a way to check its resistance.
