The Japanese brand Bacchus from top makers Deviser, are diverse in range from entry level to high end.

This is from their mass produced entry level, Chinese made, Universe range.
It's not to say it isn't good though... On the contrary, it's astounding for the money.
Perhaps the best active jazz bass on the market for under $500. Incredible looks with a great sounding Preamp, decent build quality and decent locally sourced materials.

Sure, it's no STR but it's a great launch pad to the Deviser legacy of maximum performance for minimum cost. This beats competition in the price bracket hands down.
