This is a great sounding C-40 Vega archtop from the 1930s....think Django Reindhart or Pokey LaFarge Tone
My luthier says it has a "Great Archtop Bark".....
It does sound great -very playable the neck is nice and straight with just a hint or relief which is perfect. Bridge has plenty height left and does not need a neckse
The sound is rich with lots of sustain so a great sounding Jazz, Blues or Folk guitar. V shaped neck is solid. The tuners are the superb Golden Age replicas from Stewart McDonald. The originals were toast...Has two hairlines that were glued and are tight. One at the bass F hole and one on side near neck. see pics....
Has a very cool "Vintage Vibe" with the Art Deco Celluloid headstock overlay.
