Marshall JMP 50 Watt 1978 Celebrity ARTIST owned Dan Hawkins of The Darkness Recording Guitar Amp

This was the main recording amp used by Dan Hawkins of legendary British rock band: The Darkness. We bought this amp and his touring JMP head directly from him at his home. You can see the pictures of us with him when we bought them on our Essex Recording Studios Instagram page. We additionally will provide a Certificate of Authenticity along with additional documents proving his ownership. We have Dan's personal contact info if you require additional verification. 

We have used this monster amp to record in our studio for the upcoming album of Piston. The amp is in incredible condition with all correct serial numbers and markings. The inspection tag appears to be signed by Jim Marshall as well! 

Here is the description straight from Dan Hawkins:

" This 1978 JMP 50watt Marshall Amp is owned by Dan Hawkins of The Darkness. It was the main Marshall head used for the recording of their latest album 'Pinewood Smile'. It was purchased from a renowned and trusted collector in Bristol who was asked to send the best sounding JMP50 in his collection - this is it! Unfortunately the original wooden box had perished so this amp arrived without one! It has been fitted inside a brand new 100watt superlead box/chassis.

It's old but it good condition for its age and has been serviced by Mike Hill service. Flight cased and well looked after.

Has the master volume so you don't have to kill your band mates. Sounds so good in the studio - great with the front end pushed via overdrives etc.

Classic rock/Back In Black sounding AC/DC tones nailed instantly.

Masking tape with controls left on in case any fans are bidding want it - handy in any case as the writing is not legible due to wear. "
