Up for sale is a very cool and amazing "distortion" pedal by T.C. Electronic.....the Vintage Distortion !
I put the distortion in quotes because even at it's highest gain setting with the boost button engaged, it is more like the overdrive on a fully cranked tube amp !
I guess that's why it's called a "vintage distortion!" You're probably not going to play metal with this pedal, unless you put an overdrive pedal or some kind of volume and/or booster (which I also have for sale here on ebay! :) in front of it as if it were a cranked tube amp.
As far as any other genre, the range of gain on this pedal allows you to play them all ! From country to soft rock to hard rock...it's all there! The tone knob (or "color filter") as they call it, is very responsive. And the aforementioned "boost" button does indeed add more gain and volume as well as some low mids and some bottom end!
