About This Listing

Sound expansion board for Roland SR-JV80 synths including the JV-1080 and JV-2080.  These boards plug into expansion sockets to provide additional patches, rhythms & samples

The SR-JV80-10 Bass & Drums Wave Expansion Board contains cutting-edge bass and drum sounds meticulously sampled from renowned studio musicians, adding a high-powered rhythm section to your music

The Bass & Drums Collection card includes:

  • High-quality Bass & Drums sound expansion board for expandable Roland synthesizers (see compatibility guide below for details)
  • Adds 241 waveforms, over 200 patches and 8 full rhythm sets for the JV-1080 plus others
  • Samples from session bass players Marcus Miller, Abraham Laboriel Senior and John Patitucci
  • Drum sounds from Abe Laboriel Junior and Bob Wilson
  • Features single-note programs you can play from a keyboard
  • Drum loops that can be sync’d to MIDI clock

This card was a joint project between Spectrasonics and Roland.  The sound samples are pretty impressive – the fretless bass, in particular, is excellent.
