Original 1965 Rickenbacker Rose Morris Model 1993 Export 12-String Fireglo

RARE 1965 Rickenbacker Rose Morris 1993 Export Model 12-string. As made famous by Pete Townshend and Tom Petty, among others. 

These were only made for two years (1964-1965) and were made only for export with custom specs by Rose Morris, including F-hole and bound body with dotted fretboard inlays. These were among the first production 12-string models Rickenbacker made. They are now very rare and almost impossible to find - this is one of less than 30 known to exist today. 

Like most Rose Morris export Rickenbackers, this one has been extensively gigged, yet plays and sounds great with low action and a perfect neck angle (it has had a neck reset). Nice loud, resonant 12-string. Priced accordingly to condition and rarity. 

The original Fireglo finish is heavily worn all-over, especially on the backside and neck with a few spots on the top - see photos. Minimal fretwear. Small repair under the (non-original) pickguard from an added toggle switch. Other than that, it's all-original. Comes with original silver/blue case.
