In the late 1960's Fender replaced the black face Twin Reverb with a new look that included a silver-and-turquoise front panel and cool aluminum grille cloth trim. The Twin Reverb remained basically the same "made in America" workhorse, however there were some changes to some circuitry in the first year (1968) and the power rating went from 85 watts to 100 watts. That first year proved to be problematic so Fender went back to the original design save for some power enhancements. The Silver Face was still rated at 100 watts and the Twin Reverb remained the tube amp of choice for pro and amateur musicians everywhere. I've owned and played them both and I really can't tell a big difference between the Black Face and Silver Face. The sound is clear, deep and powerful, with big and warm tube tone and world-class Fender reverb and vibrato effects. For many guitarists including me the Twin Reverb has been the go-to amp for the classic American Rock sound. In fact you still see many of them on stage. I have owned this amp for many years and it has served me well at many gigs. It is a early 70's model with a master volume control and a push/pull switch, that allows you to add more gain. Not sure I can tell that much difference but it does help date the amp. I still use it occasionally, but as I have become more and more of an acoustic player, I don't need so many watts anymore so it has sat quietly in the corner of my studio gathering dust.  I recently (9/2019) dusted it off for a gig with my new piano playing partner and it sounded really good.  Those that asked about it were amazed at the pure clean sound and it's age and condition.   This baby is in great shape and includes the factory stomp switch for control of reverb and vibrato. I installed a set of casters many years ago, but other than that and some replacement tubes installed years ago it is as it came out of the factory, except it is missing the black tube cover from the back.   I'm happy work with a buyer to ship it in the US or elsewhere, but it's very heavy (85#'s) and shipping will be $$.  Maybe next time you go to the beach for a fun weekend you can stop by and pick it up??; or we can figure something else out!!  (note price drop as of 9/24/2019)
