The Monkeymatic "Fiddy" series is an exploration of the "plexi," "four-holer" architecture (Marshall's 1987 schematic). This Fiddy is the mother of the series, and includes many features that add to or modify the vintage design. A pair of JJ EL34s deliver 50 watts clean.
- The four input jacks have been condensed to two (high and low sensitivity inputs), and internally jumpered, so the Normal and Bright channels are always available--simply vary the level of the Gain controls to mix the channels as desired. This feature alone puts a wide palette of tones at the user's control, and can be fine tuned with the traditional TMBP tone stack.
- A front-panel "more" switch provides a choice of vintage parallel Normal and Bright channels, to series, or cascaded channels, allowing hot rodded, high-gain tones that Randy and Eddie would love.
- Features an over-spec'd power transformer that will stay cool under the heaviest load, and an OEM Marshall output transformer with 4-, 8- and 16-ohm speaker taps.
- A PPIMV (post phase-inverter master volume) control allows as much gain as you wish, at any volume, from whisper quiet, to window rattling, and is transparent when turned to 100%.
- An all-tube-powered, series FX loop is installed, based on Merlin Blencowe's design, and hand wired using quality components.
- Integrated cabinet LED lighting and programmed, "dancing" LED power indicator make this head stand out on stage.
