This is a 1979 Gibson Thunderbird in an unusual black finish - and part of the highly sought after Bicentennial series. The bass has it's share of bucklerash on the back of the body, as well as one small gash on the back. The neck is a chunky shape that's great for digging into heavy rhythm playing. The frets have a good amount of life in them and no playability issues to this awesome bass. Last but not least - this bass has a great set of Lollar Thunderbird pickups installed that give off a ton of low end thump with still lots of clarity as well. Should you want to return the bass to stock, the original pickups are included in the case.
