NOTE_this piece of interpretative art began as a NEW OLD STOCK GIBSON EPIPHONE JACK CASADY SIGNATURE MODEL, SN: 1008317 (made in Korea in 2000, #8317). It comes with OHSC. This taken from online sources for this guitar:
CASADY EPIPHONE BASS: Here it is… the Jack Casady Special. This hollow body electric bass features a single Humbucker pickup that packs a whollop. Specifically released to the public by Epiphone in 1998 with critical acclaim. “Epiphone and I designed this bass to my exact specifications, certainly a dream come true. I feel we really created a comfortable bass guitar that carries a great warm tone and is a lot of fun to play. And it looks great. –Jack Casady.

"For me images are my language. I see them and hear them at the same time. It is an automatic association. I heard the image of Jack Casady as soon as I first saw a photo of him playing this bass. Headband, sunglasses, downturn of his face, and that incredible thumb. It sounded like the Thunder God Jupiter but had the beauty of a golden idol. If ever a guitar was destined to be played by a player, this was the time In my mind, I saw Jack Casady morphing from his role as a member of a band to the star of an universe. That's why I chose the image used on the front of this guitar. This is the real Jack Casady-the upfront star. And on the back, I chose those images that show Jack as a member of a group-Jefferson Airplane-that gave rise to his development as a 'star'.
This is another piece of my performance art. It is a combination of collage along with light reflection. You can show this art by playing it I sign, and number, each of my creations and I can absolutely guarantee you that no two pieces are the same. Each is unique and one of a kind-as a piece of art should be. A gig bag with my own signature is included with this piece.
