Yet another fabulous Bourgeois has graced our inventory. Offered here is Custom OMC built by Dana in 2002, but still in amazing condition. This beautiful OM has: a lovely straight-grained European Spruce top; back and sides made of highly figured Bubinga; a 14-fret Mahogany neck; an Ebony fretboard with Abalone inlays; a 1.75" bone nut; 25.4" string scale; a bone saddle with 2-3/16" string spacing; tortis binding; and gold Waverly tuners. For those who may not be familiar with Bubinga, it has the density and sound characteristics of Rosewood, but is much smoother in texture than Rosewood, thereby eliminating the need for vibration-damping pore filler. Listen to the included sound sample and I think you will agree that the wonderful tone of this guitar is much like that of a Rosewood and Spruce instrument, but with a much more unique and pleasing look to it. This guitar plays superbly and is currently setup with string heights of 7/64" at the low E and 5/64" at the high E with lots of saddle available. I obtained this beauty from a very meticulous, finger style-playing customer of mine Despite it's age, this guitar is in superb condition with only the lightest of play and handling wear. Even the frets look like those of a relatively new instrument. It comes with it's original case in equally nice condition. Replicating this instrument today would cost at least $6K, but this superb example can be yours for far less. Just a great and somewhat unique OM from Dana Bourgeois. Make it yours....
