1972 Gibson EB-0 Left-handed frankenbass. This authentic (originally) 1972 EB-0 (Serial Number 771720, Made in USA) has been owned by me since 1986. In that time I have fought neck-dive, a muddy pickup, worn-down frets and corroded tuners that wouldn't stay in tune! So I finally decided to do something about it. The main pickup is a DiMarzio DP120 (this actually came on it when I got it in '86), and the Seymour Duncan Jazz pickup has been added. The tuners are brand new Grovers. The fretboard has been totally re-fretted and dots added to the correct side of the neck. The strap button on the back has been moved to the upper horn, helping neck-dive a lot. All the controls have been moved to the left lower left so a left-handed played can actually use them. The pickguard has been flipped and re-beveled. In addition, there is a volume knob for each pickup, and an overall tone knob. And all the pots are brand new in their cozy little cavity. The jack has been moved to the bottom. Oh, and the bridge is a BadAss II (mounted slightly crooked, but plays just fine). However, I have a modern Epiphone EB-3 bridge I'm including if you'd like to change out the BadAss. That about sums it up. As you can see, it's been through the wars, and has the scars to prove it. But if you would like a left-handed Gibson EB-0 bass that plays great—without the awful prices of the vintage stuff,n this could be the bass for you. You pay $50 shipping, please.
