Up for sale is Jimi Hendrix’s Band of Gypsys Octavia pedal and Jimi Hendrix’s handwritten lyric sheet.
I purchased the lyric sheet from Gerard Guida 20 years ago.
The same guy I got the Octavia pedal from,
I’ve decided to put them both it in a package.
This is undeniably the most valuable pedal on the planet.
Roger Mayer has requested that I do not allow anyone to take pictures or to look at the internal workings of the unit.
Out of respect for Roger I have to comply to his request.
If you come to purchase the pedal you can look at it internally then with an expert and then make your decision on whether you would like to buy it or not?
I will have an expert on hand who will be able to answer any questions about the pedal when your time comes should you be interested in purchasing the pedal.
When I spoke to Roger Mayer last year, he laughed and called it the most expensive pedal on earth!!
It is the only Octavia that Roger Mayer has ever authenticated as Jimi Hendrix’s.
No other one has ever been found!!
If anybody has any questions about that, they can contact Roger directly and he can answer any questions you may have regarding the existence of any other Jimi Hendrix Octavia besides this one.
No such Jimi Octavia exists according to Roger.
From what I was told there are no other Octavia pedals that belonged to Jimi Hendrix’s that have ever been documented by Roger except this one.
That was the main reason why I purchased it 20 years ago from Gerard Guida.

Kurt Steir owner of Tycobrahe - Chicago Iron is the foremost knowledgeable guy on earth when it comes to knowing about Octavias.
Kurt is the only person that I ever let a look at this pedal in person and he said without question this is the Band of Gypsy’s Octavia.
He drove all the way from Chicago to New York to come see the pedal and he even matched marks up in photos of Jimi onstage with it.
Kurt also said this unit has a completely different circuit then any other Octavia that has been found.
There were other Octavia’s made for Keith Relfs of the Yardbirds, Jeff Beck.
The Keith Relfs Yardbird pedal is in the Hendrix museum in Seattle.
When I asked Roger about that pedal he said 100% that that is not Jimi’s pedal.
They were able to substantiate that it was Relf’s pedal because there was added filtering for harmonica that Roger put in.
Jimi also never had a pedal with Octavio written on it.
Every nick and scratch that is on the pedal came from Jimi and his hands.
I have too much respect for Jimi to even use the pedal and have only used it once when Kurt came to see it.
Since then it’s been sitting untouched for years.
That’s what makes the pedal unique the fact that nobody has looked at it except two people, Roger and Kurt.
I will be offering it for sale here on Reverb for a short time.
If it doesn’t sell here within a month or so I will be taking the listing down and putting these items into an auction house along with other authenticated Jimi items that I have.
Items which have been authenticated by the estate of Jimi Hendrix.
