The Danelectro '58 Longhorn Electric Bass is an iconic instrument that is instantly identifiable, and there is really no bass like it. And here is one just for the left-handed among us. The deep cutaways, forming those infamous horns, allow complete access to the entire fretboard. Combine this with a super-fast, short-scale neck and you have one of the most exciting and fun basses available. The tone of the Longhorn is bright and punchy, with excellent thump and bottom-end and excellent dynamics for both finger and pick playing styles. This tight tone is captured by a pair of Danelectro Lipstick Tube pickups for truly vintage tone, with an open woodiness to the voice. These are laced to a cool pair of stacked volume/tone post. The 30" short scale maple neck is fast and comfortable with a C profile. The rosewood fingerboard is smooth and dark with 24 frets, and is matched by the rosewood bridge saddle, which contributes to the organic and unique tone of this instrument.
