I think the main reason I'm such a fan of the Dove series of Gibson acoustics is because of their thin, easy to play necks. I don't have huge mitts and these guitars are so effortless to play, I actually want to sit down and practice. That said, I'm primarily a bassist, so it sounds like a rhino trying to play piano if you know what I mean. This particular Doves in Flight is #163 of the 250 made in 1998, straight from the Boseman factory. It's in very clean condition, having only some finish check lines in the top. These are not really visible unless the guitar is turned into the reflection of an overhead light. Looking straight at the guitar, you'd never know that they were there. The tone is crisp, well- balanced and not overly bright, as is the case with some Maple guitars. You all know how much we love clean, limited edition guitars around here and this one does not disappoint so please call or email with any questions or requests. Who knows, maybe this guitar will make you want to sit down and play- isn't that the reason they build them in the first place?
