Gorgeous 25" scale length double cutaway, featuring:
-Killer Two-Piece Full Thickness Bookmatched Black Walnut Body. The forearm carve and the control area's carving both roll away from the V in the wood's figure, equally. It's also belly carved
-One-Piece African Mahogany neck with Gabon Ebony fingerboard (Paua Abalone dots) with unique maple and wenge side markings
-Stunningly rich Curly Koa headcap (Grover 18: tuners, cattle bone nut, Gabon Ebony truss cover)
-Jescar .104" x .047" nickel-silver frets on a 12" fingerboard radius. The truss rod is a two-way, fully adjustable rod
-Classic C shape neck profile --- .850" thick at the first fret to .950" thick at the 12th fret -width at nut is 1.69" and width at end of neck is 2.22"
-A ResoMax nickel plated bridge
-Large, recessed nickel plated brass knobs (500Kpots, .022 Dijon cap, master vol/tone)
-Switchcraft 3-way toggle and output jack
-My own pickup winds --- Hard mounted and partially potted, with Alnico II magnets, resistance readings of 7.15Kohm/neck and 7.85Kohm/bridge, and hole free nickel-silver covers plated in nickel. Very dynamic picking response, they drive pedals wonderfully, and on 'bridge' or 'both' settings they lend themselves to spanky chicken pickin' surprisingly well, too....somewhat Seth Lover-ish, but less microphonic (as in the Seymour Duncan Seth Lover's)
-It is finished in multiple applications of all natural walnut oil and waxed. I find oil finished guitars are the most satisfying to handle(they feel wonderful), and they do the wood's aesthetic beauty justice in forgoing the conventional layer(s) of glorified plastic (i.e. lacquer, polyurethane, polyester, etc.), and the wood is free to resonate without the hindrance of a a topcoat. It's got rich natural glow that high gloss finishes don't achieve. It's quite inviting to handle and look at. A yearly application of wax is recommended to maintain luster and protection of oil finishes.
Overall guitar weight is 8lbs, 2oz. Packed shipping weight will be 25+lbs
This guitar includes the fitted hardshell case shown and standard UPS Ground (insured) to anywhere in the domestic US. If you're looking from elsewhere, please inquire about shipping cost(include postal code)
I'm a bit bummed to list this one, as the intention was that this was a build for myself, but that's how the ball bounces
