This is the original MK1 Stillson Hammer which is classified as a burst generator. It’s a very useful module for sequencing and triggering drum sounds. Just feed a trigger into the gun barrel, er trigger input and then you will get a ratcheting spray of trigger outputs across the bottom output jacks. Connect a kick drum trigger on the first output and a hihat on the 4th output. Then shift the clock frequency to adjust the distance between the events. This lets you get into the pocket with the hihat sliding in a little late or early depending on the controls. For the next level, all of that is CV controllable. Adjusting the Output Span and/or the Event Count settings you can turn the secondary triggers on and off. Under CV control, these two controls build instant fills. Things start to get mental when you connect this to OSC envelopes and chop between different filters, pitches or voicing.
