Fender Partscaster Strat Sonic Blue w Red Tortoiseshell

Body is from a MIJ Strat Body refinished in Sonic Blue. Year unknown.

The C-shaped neck is from a 1994 MIM Fender Stratocaster. Maple with rosewood fretboard. Sealed Fender tuners. This neck is in excellent shape, no dings or scratches on back of neck, almost zero wear on the rosewood fretboard. Frets show minimal wear. One blemish that doesn't affect playability: a previous owner removed the plug for the truss rod and scratched around the opening. See pics.   

I installed a Dragonfire red tortoiseshell pickguard prewired with three single coils. Pickguard also includes three full-size 500k pots and a standard 5-way switch. Cream colored knobs and pickup covers for a vintage look. If you haven't heard Dragonfire electronics, you'll be surprised by their power and tone. 

Genuine Fender tremelo. No arm included. 

This guitar is beautiful. The sonic blue with red tortoiseshell is a killer combo. Also has a matching red tortoiseshell term cover on back. The sonic blue paint job was well done. No blemishes at all. 

And, it plays wonderfully. Neck is clean and smooth. The single coils ring with the bell-like tone you expect from a Strat and get plenty hot when cranked.

I put a lot of love into this project and hate to see it go, but I've got to thin the herd.
