Elvin Jones' Spizz 20" Ride

When Elvin passed away in 2004, his wife Keiko sold most all of his gear to Seattle based collector Donn Bennett, of Donn Bennett’s Drum Shop, well known by drummers throughout the world. Living in the area, I was fortunate to be one of the first in line to listen to Elvin’s collection of cymbals and I believe I got the pick of the litter with this 20" 22.59 gram ride, which was custom made for Elvin by the late, great, master cymbal maker, Roberto Spizzichino.  
Inscribed on the back of the cymbal in sharpie is “R. Spizzichino – for Elvin”, written by Roberto himself. I have a certificate of authenticity from Donn Bennett.
Truly a one of a kind, I chose the cymbal not for its pedigree but for its sound. From the edge of the cymbal to its body, to its bell, it sounds.. beautiful.  
The main reason I’m selling it is that honestly, I can’t do it justice. It should be played by someone who can.
