I'm putting my EBS Fafner II head up for sale. Its a really difficult decision as I really am going to miss this thing. Its been used sparingly with cab and for a while now I've only been able to use it out of tube mode, direct as I'm without a cab at this time. Unfortunately I'm at a fork in the road where I'm having to make some serious financial decisions, and as I'm not playing live at this time, I'm letting this amp go. I'll no doubt work towards another some day.
I'm sure most will know of EBS and their work, for those that don't this thing is a power house. 750 watts RMS at 2 ohms (>600 watts RMS at 4 ohms). Driven by 12ax7 tubes.
Summary:
-2 channel preamp
-Parallel/Serial modes for the channels/drive mode
-Foot-switchable (2-button Marshall foot-switch included)
-High/Low character shaping as well as full EQ and character shaping post drive section
-Compressor
-2 direct outs (pre and post EQ)
-Comprehensive effects loop (seriously there are many ways to hook this thing up with effects and outboard)
Honestly there is a lot to this amp, and I'm sure I've missed a few key features, more about them here ->
This comes in a Stagg rack case, 3m IEC cable (kettle lead) and as well as the foot switch, I'm putting a 2m speakon cable in as well.
As new aside from some minor paint missing on the front left of the panel (photo to show this)
I'm based in Battle Hill (NE28), collection preferred as I currently have no transportation, shipping within the UK is available for £45.
These heads retail upwards of £2000, I'm asking £1100. If anyone wants to bring a portable cab with them to try it out, I'm happy to arrange that around work.
Hopefully it gets the chance to run free once again...
