This is one of those guitars that I swore I'd never sell, yet here it is. It's a 1978 Gretsch TK-300 bass. You don't see many of these. They were only made for a couple years. Some would say it was during the darkest times of Gretsch.
It's a really sturdy short-scale bass. The tone from the pickup is so classic.
It's all original as far as I know. It was missing the bridge cover when I bought it 22 years ago. It's got Schaller tuning machines. There's some considerable roughness on the bottom of the body. One crack in the pickguard by the screw that was also there when I bought it. I have babied this bass as much as I could since then. Gotta love the "hockey stick" looking headstock.
You'll be hard pressed to find a buddy that has one or has even seen one in person. I hope to give it a good home.
