About This Listing

I've had this guitar for several years. It's a work of art. I wish I could hold onto it but waddya gonna do - I gotta sell it. It's in great condition except for one small ding near the bottom strap button. There’s a picture of the ding included with the other photos.

I'm offering free shipping - but I can only ship to the continental US. Below is the standard sales description of the guitar.

Paul's Guitar is a stunning PRS solidbody electric guitar. With its "Dirty" Figured Artist top, exclusive "brushstroke" bird inlays, and two narrow 408 pickups, this guitar is the production version of Paul Reed Smith's Private Stock axe. Carrying on the Modern Eagle tradition, Paul specified every aspect of this marvelous instrument's design. From the selection of tonewoods, inlays, pickups, and neck profile; to the PRS tremolo and proprietary finish, this is truly Paul's Guitar (and a sublime expression of the luthiers' art). Play a PRS with off-the-charts sound, playability, and looks: Paul's Guitar.

PRS Paul's Guitar, "Dirty" Artist Maple Top Solidbody Electric Guitar at a Glance:
  • Every aspect of the guitar was decided by Paul
  • Solid mahogany topped with maple looks and sounds amazing
  • Custom-wound 408 pickups and switching provide endless tone
  • Every aspect of the guitar was decded by Paul

The aptly named PRS Paul's Guitar is essentially a production version of Paul's personal guitar that he has been playing for years. Paul chose and specified every aspect of this guitar from its tonewood selections, "brushstroke" birds inlays, pickups, Pattern neck shape, the tremolo, and the new finish.

Solid mahogany topped with maple looks and sounds amazing
To give the PRS Paul's Guitar a rich yet balanced sound, PRS began by choosing the tried-and-true combination of mahogany topped with a select figured maple top. The mahogany body gives you natural tonal warmth, which is offset perfectly by the brighter tone of its maple top. Together, these tonewoods give you an incredibly balanced sound.

Custom-wound 408 pickups and switching provide endless tone
When PRS released their Signature Limited model, everyone who got a chance to check out the new 408 pickups was absolutely blown away. But true to his perfectionist nature, Paul Reed Smith continued to tweak these 100% proprietary pickups to perfection. In fact, he discovered that by tightening up the pickup field on a 408 Bass pickup, he was actually able to create an even better-sounding treble pickup. The PRS Paul's Guitar electric guitar features a pair of these amazing 408 pickups. But it doesn't stop there, these amazing pickups also have dedicated mini switches, so you can shift to the timeless single-coil sound instantaneously. Best of all, there is no volume loss when switching to single-coil mode! Paul's Guitar has the tones you need for any gig.
