These are quite rare & sought after. Our notes show 9 used ones that sold on ebay since 2007 and we sold three last year directly after listing them. We’ve only seen 4 of this particular model since. We’ve tried, tested and reviewed every resonator pickup made. These 2522's are by far our favored resonator (and acoustic) pickup. Very hard to come by; although we have continual searches programmed, they rarely come up. I’ll probably regret selling this, but I’m in this mode of clearing gear that’s not being used. Since they are so favored, no longer made and hard to find, it's priced accordingly.

Frank Zappa had Barcus Berry Hi-Tek pickups fitted to his Gibson ES5 Switchmaster and his Fender XII 12-string guitars. In '73 Zappa also fitted Barcus-Berry pickups to Ruth Underwood's marimba & Ralph Humphrey's drums. There are photos of these online.

Chris Whitley, Jeff Healey, Bob Brozman, Jeff Lang, Ry Cooder, David Lindley, Michael Messer, Andi Lechner & Helder Deploige are some others we know that favor this setup.
