Barcus Berry Hi Tek Soundhole Pickup

These are quite rare & sought after. Our notes show a used one that sold on ebay in 2007 and we sold two last year directly after listing them. We’ve only seen 3 of this particular model since, excepting my personal one on my Weissenborn. You might note the deeper 13/16" body on this compared to the also hard to find 2522. We’ve tried, tested and reviewed every soundhole pickup made. These are by far our favored brand of soundhole pickup. Very hard to come by; although I programmed a continual search, they rarely come up. I’ll probably regret selling this, but I’m in this mode of clearing gear that’s not being used. Since they are so favored, no longer made and hard to find, it's priced accordingly. This one is wired with a standard ¼” jack.

Frank Zappa had Barcus Berry Hi-Tek pickups fitted to his Gibson ES5 Switchmaster and his Fender XII 12-string guitars. In '73 Zappa also fitted Barcus-Berry pickups to Ruth Underwood's marimba & Ralph Humphrey's drums. There are photos of these online.
