Here's a beautiful 2003 Model Les Paul Standard electric guitar with the highly sought after Ice Tea Vintage Sunburst
high gloss finish and a spectacular AAAA type two piece book matched maple flametop.
This may be a Special Ordered Limited Edition Model with a hand picked top. I'll update the ad ASAP with more details and pictures.
The guitar has been in a private collection for several years and well cared for. It's in very good to excellent condition with only a few tiny nicks and scratches. There are no big dents or dings and nothing that's thru the finish.
The late 90's and the early 2000's were the "good wood" years for Gibson when they had a lot of flame top maple to pick from, and this guitar is no exception. .
At first glance, it
looks a lot like like a 1959 Les Paul Standard R8 R9 or R0 Custom Shop ReIssue or a M2M ( Made 2 / To Measure ) Model. Regardless, I have no idea
how the Custom Shop missed it, and didn't grab the top for this one. In
fact, we've seen several '59 Les Pauls that didn't have a flame top like
this. You'll have to pay $5000 to $10,000 or more for a new Custom Shop
Les Paul Jimmy Page 1 or 2 Tom Murphy Aged Killer Monster Yamano Les
Paul Standard with a flametop like this.
As you can see, the
flametop is exceptional and it looks incredible, especially from
different angles. Also notice, the flame goes all the way to the edges
and does not fade out. ( The Dark Burst and Cherry Red Sunburst tops
have very little, or no flame on the edges, which is why they're painted
that way ). The neck and the
headstock, as well as the front and back of the guitar are all in very good to excellent condition. You just won't find a nicer Les Paul, especially one, that's fifteen years old. They just don't make em like this anymore.
The factory original Gibson hard shell case
is included as well as the case candy, which includes the warranty card,
owners manual, strap and truss rod tool. The case is also in
excellent condition. There's a combination lock on the side of
the case, so you can secure your guitar, while
it's being stored or transported.
The
MSRP on a brand new 2018 Les Paul Standard is $5499.00 and my price
is just $3999.99 so you can save a ton of money if you buy this one.
