OMG! In this case it stands for an “Outrageously Marvelously Gorgeous” guitar. This is a truly unique one-off Fratello built with highly flamed, three-dimensional European maple back and sides, with a resonant tight-grained spruce top and our lovely Fratello binding and fingerboard inlay package. What makes this 17″ honey blonde beauty unique are appointments that aren’t usually associated with our Benedetto Flagship models. This guitar has a longer 25-1/2″ scale (instead of 25″) and a 1-11/16″ nut width (instead of 1-3/4″). Bob Benedetto added a particularly riveting Americana-esque inlay to the headstock. To top it off, we’ve given this instrument a built-in B-6 pickup with parallel bracing, top mounted volume and tone controls, an ebony Manhattan style fingerrest, and our violin-style tailpiece with tail adjuster but with a side-mounted input. Why? Because this 17″ cannon is meant to be the pinnacle of gigging flagships. Its acoustic sound and light weight will shock anyone who is used to a production built 17″ with a built-in pickup (we-don’t-mention-other-companies-by-name-here). The amplified sound is sweet and balanced, while the acoustic sound is bold and projective. If you have longed for a Benedetto Flagship but didn’t want to stray from your vintage love, this is the guitar that will push you right over the edge!
