Pulse-Width Modulation
DW Fearn VT-7 Stereo Compressor uses a high-speed (over 1mHz) analog switch controlled by a pulse-width modulator (PWM) to control the gain. This technique provides wide-range level control (in excess of 30dB) with virtually no harmonic distortion or other artifacts. Controls

Circuitry and Construction
Only single-ended Class-A triodes are used in the audio path (8 dual triodes in all). A combination of 6072A and 6N1P tubes are employed. These tubes were chosen for their sonic superiority and availability. These tubes have proven themselves in the / microphone preamps and the .
