Vintage Gretsch Clarophone Tenor Banjo from the 20's or 30's. Great project. To the best of my knowledge, everything here is original except for the head (replaced last year). It is somewhat playable at the moment, but needs some significant work to become fully functional. Has great tone!
Selling AS-IS. No returns, so please ask any questions before buying!
Primary issues:
-Neck not properly aligned, so the string are off center (see photo)
-Needs fretwork
-The back piece is missing
The tuners are also a bit slippery, so it's hard to keep in tune.
All that said, it's a wonderful piece of history that I just don't have time to fix up myself. Will likely transform into a great instrument.
