Overview
The wild looking Guild X-79 Skyhawk was produced in small numbers, with just under 200 specimens in existence. As a short-lived guitar that gave into some of the popular features of the '80s such as a Floyd Rose locking trem, 24-fret fingerboard and radical body shape, it is not highly sought after as a player guitar and only seen as a novelty in the collector's world.
Some rare striped finishes may command a higher market price than what is listed here. There was also a version made with three single coils that has a slightly higher value.
Years of Production: 1981 - 1986
