This 2011 PRS USA DC22 is one of the Musicians Friend Private Reserve guitars. It's basically a Santana without all the bling and sports a wrap around tailpiece instead of the trem. It has 22 frets and is 24.5" in scale length. The neck was described as a modified Santana carve and feels very much like a '59 Historic Les Paul. The guitar weighs in at a very light 7.1 lbs. It's very resonant and rings true, even unplugged. These came stock with PRS's 59/09 pickups, which were in the 9.2k and 9.8k range, and a bit too hot for me. I had them replaced with a custom wound set of PAF style pickups by luthier Jack Briggs of Briggs Guitars . The pickup covers have been removed, which show the double cream bobbins. The neck is about 6.7k with an A4 magnet and the bridge uses an A8 coming in at about 7.7k. The top has a beautiful flame but is not listed as a 10 top. The frets are in great shape showing little to no wear. The neck is straight and truss rod works as it should. It stays in tune well with help of the stock locking tuners.
It's been gigged and in excellent condition but it is not a "case queen". There are a few very small "nicks" in the top and back but nothing that goes through the finish. The back of the neck is free of any dents, dings or scratches. This will ship in its original hard shell case with the original paperwork. The last photo shows the guitar in its case. Note: the pickup covers are no longer on the pickups, as stated earlier, and I no longer have the original 59/09's. Shipping UPS ground to the lower 48 only.
