This beautifully made Netherlands broadcast tube microphone dates to the 1950's, or early 1960's. It is in superb physical condition, and I was fortunate to acquire the original connector, which is included with the mic, and I have also been provided a schematic for the mic and PSU by a knowledgeable collector. The OV312 was made by Philips for the Dutch National Broadcast Corporation. From what I have learned, the model sounds warm and detailed, with a slight boost in the voice frequency level, as the mic was designed for radio and television. The capsule is easily removable, so if there are enthusiasts out there, it would be possible to adapt different capsules to this mic, with some machine skills. I have carefully photographed the mic inside and out, and the precision of fabrication on the body really impressed me. Very precise tolerances and craftsmanship.
