I have an outstanding and very clean Warmoth Stratocaster build here. I will post the full specs below and describe it a bit for you. It's light weight, well under 7lbs, scales will vary but it's around 6.5lbs on my scale. Light weight ash makes for a very percussive tone with a lot of pop to it. It's in great shape, and has had only about 80 or so careful hours of playtime.
It plays great, i would not change a thing about the setup. It's a joy to play and the action and string tensions feels just right.Importantly it is also put together correctly, sometimes it is buyer beware with Warmoth builds because people piece them together and they screw up on the electronics. This one has no such issues, it is properly grounded, shielded, coil cut correctly installed on the humbucker. It is a professional setup instrument, with no unpleasant surprises.
Tonally i would describe it as very rich and deep sounding in the humbucker position, and in the two strat positions it has a punchy vintagy bright clear tone. I would describe it as versatile because the humbucker definitely has a different feel than the strat pickups. The strat pickups are Sheptone " Good enough for Leo" . And the Humbucker is a Dimarzio PAF 36th anniversary.
I will touch on the common question of how does it compare to an American Fender. I have had experience with both and i believe Warmoth parts in terms of pure quality of wood and workmanship are equal to Fender's finest production stuff, that being their USA Artist models and their AVRI line. They definitely exceed the American Standard and Special lines. I have a couple of those for sale and this Warmoth is clearly a cut above them tonally, wood quality wise, and in finishwork/color. It's a premium USA made guitar at an exceptional value. I find that a well built Warmoth, or a well build Carvin/Kiesel is the best value for the money of any brand. I will include a soft gig bag with this one, and it will be well packed with sufficient filler, and will have the strings detuned a bit and it will be fully insured.
Thank you for reading and considering!
