The Western Drive is hand built in Germany by Orion Effekte.
The WESTERN DRIVE is a very vintage sounding rough and dry overdrive tending towards a fuzzy direction.
This pedal puts the ultimate dirt into your guitar sound, but is still able to create distortion and a clear overdrive. The tone knob helps you to adjust the sound to the respective amplifier and guitar.
Highly recommended for bass-guitar players!
Technical Notes:
The effects unit is turned off by pulling the input plug (instrument cable). To conserve the battery it is recommended that the instrument cable be disconnected after use.
The pedal can be powered by either a 9VDC battery or a stabilized 9VDC power supply (2.1 x 5mm center negative plug). When using a power supply the battery is automatically bypassed in the circuit.
Caution: incorrect polarity may damage the power supply or the pedal.
To change the battery, remove the four (4) bottom screws from the back cover.
Controls:
Pegel = Volume. Adjusts the output volume.
Klang = Tone. Turn all the way to the left for a more bassy tone, to the right more treble.
Verzerrung = Drive. This control adjusts the degree of overdrive. The range goes from nearly clean to distortion-like.
All in/output jacks, 9VDC input, and bypass switch are mounted to the chassis and not the circuit board.
Bypass Foot-Switch
The bypass foot-switch makes it easy to switch the device
between bypass and effect. This means that the instrument signal will not be
influenced while the pedal is in bypass mode.
LED Brightness (internal)
Inside the housing is a two (2)-way slider switch control to
adjust the brightness of the LED. In Stage mode the LED brighter, in the Studio
mode the LED will be dimmer.
