Eagle Jet Series guitar Made in Japan in the late 70s-early 80s. It is difficult to find much information about this brand on the internet. From what I could gather on the internet, it was the brand for an importer in France, and they were made at the Hoshino factory (same as Ibanez or other nicer Japanese guitars of these days). Similar to other brands like Vantage, Eagle used to produce/import a variety of nice quality solid and hollow-body guitars. Unlike many Japanese guitars of those days, this one has an original, although SG-inspired, shape.
Overall condition To my knowledge, the guitar is all original. Overall, it has been played, and shows marks (a REAL relic job). The heavier marks (chips in the finish coat) are essentially on the sides, some significant scratches on the back; the top, neck and head are quite clean given its age (some lighter scratches). The close-up pictures are the most faithful in terms of the guitar actual color, it is a nice and tasteful 2-tone sunburst. It recently had frets leveled and a setup, it plays great.
Neck Neck is very comfortable, sort of a C shape, and relatively narrow (probably about 1 5/8). Frets have been leveled and have plenty of life left. The guitar plays great.
Electronics All electronics and hardware function properly. The humbuckers are very warm-sounding, great for blues, rock, or even some jazz. It is truly a nice sounding guitar.
Hardware Tuners work as they should, the bridge has some pitting due to age (fully functional).
