John Bolin established himself as a builder of note when he took it upon himself to make an instrument for ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons. Since then he has a large catalog of satisfied high brow customers including
Jimmy Page, Steve Miller, Dusty Hill, Lou Reed, Doc Watson, Albert King, Bo Diddley, Joe Perry, and Keith Richards & Ronnie Wood of the Rolling Stones.
This model here is a single humbucking pickup Supro "style" instrument. For a period of time House of JB was producing Supro branded instruments. This is one of them and has a Supro badge on the headstock and the House of JB logo on the back. The bridge is hipshot, the tuners are open back but I cannot determine the brand, it has a single volume and tone control, Indian rosewood fingerboard, 25.5 inch scale length, and a 1 and 11/16ths nut width.
Condition wise is has some checking on the finish and as few marks here or there. It comes with the original case. Please refer to the photos and do not hesitate to ask questions.
I cannot find a ton of information on how House of JB got the Supro brand license and during which era. I am assuming from the serial numbering system I have seen on others that it is a 2012, the serial number on this model is 0-012.
