Samick Japan Single Cutaway SCustom 1980's Tobacco Burst

Here is "The Samick" Japan Les Paul Custom . Samick’s exact copy of Gibson's Les Paul Custom. It's in awesome shape for a 30+ year old guitar. Sounds beautiful also, the Bridge pickup is pretty hot. Reminds me of a Dimarzio  Super Distorion pickup, the Neck pickup is a low output pickup. The Neck pickup is not very desirable to me, sounds kind of weak. There is some stories about this guitar that say when Gibson first commissioned Samick to build their Epiphone imports that this guitar was pulled straight from the shop and branded " The Samick" in reference to Gibson's " The Gibson" because it was built from the original Les Paul blueprints that Gibson supplied Samick. It was so good that Gibson ordered Samick to stop making them after a short period. It was the first prototype, no serial number of any kind. It has beautiful binding all around the guitar and is double bound on the backside of the guitar. Gold hardware, although tuners are not original they appear to be a Gotoh replacement tuner that fits the guitar perfectly. The neck is very thin like a 1980's Les Paul, feels awesome in your hand.
