 Selmer 'Action 80' Alto Saxophone

This stunning Selmer sax, with its beautiful engraving, was made in 1983 and is in very good condition.

It sounds incredible , a luminous liquid tone, with an underlay of gravel and some serious bite!

Henri Selmer started his woodwind company in Paris in1885, making mouthpieces, reeds and clarinets. In 1898,his brother Alexandre Selmer left for America and began selling Clarinets in the USA as he toured with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. The Selmers took off,and in 1922, they introduced their first saxophones.Still today they are the 'Vintage'saxophone of choice for Saxophonists  and have been played by all the greats including John Coltrane and Sonny Rollins.

Comes with original hard case.
